Nato a Thiene il 27 maggio 1973, Paolo Agostini è compositore, arrangiatore e produttore di musica per cinema, televisione e teatro. Cantautore e orchestratore, vince prestigiose borse di studio in Italia e negli Stati Uniti.
Dal Centro Europeo di Toscolano (CET), dove si perfeziona nell'Arte della canzone popolare con il Maestro Mogol, fino a rappresentare l'Italia all'ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop a Los Angeles, dove viene invitato a eseguire la sua musica — scrivendo un brano per la Disney negli storici studi della 20th Century Fox e dirigendo personalmente la Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra.
È autore delle colonne sonore di Così Eravamo, Terre Rosse, The Knight, Il segreto di Italia, Oscar. Per Warner Music compone la colonna sonora di Giorgione sulle tracce del Genio. Scrive musica per documentari RAI, musical teatrali, musica da camera e sinfonica.
Nel 2020 il film Oscar (Amazon Prime), con le sue musiche originali, chiude il Los Angeles Italia Film Festival proiettando il film al Chinese Theatre di Hollywood Boulevard. Nel 2024 compone le musiche di 800 Giorni, presentato alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia e pluripremiato in Italia e USA.
Nel 2026 ritorna al Los Angeles Italia Film Festival con Il Criminologo, diretto da Antonio Rojch con Barbara De Rossi. In quanto membro ufficiale della SCL (Society of Composers and Lyricists), è invitato alla SCL Oscars Reception per onorare le candidature all'Oscar per la miglior colonna sonora. La Console Generale d'Italia a Los Angeles inserisce il film fra gli eventi di maggior prestigio promossi dall'Istituto di Cultura Italiana.
In occasione delle celebrazioni per il Maestro Morricone, prende parte al coro che accompagna Il Volo nel concerto evento all'Arena di Verona. Il 25 marzo 2022 gli viene conferito per meriti professionali il Leone d'Oro del Gran Premio Internazionale di Venezia.

From the Centro Europeo di Toscolano (CET), where he refined his craft in the Art of Popular Song under the guidance of Maestro Mogol, to representing Italy at the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop in Los Angeles — where he was invited to perform his music, composing a piece for Disney at the historic 20th Century Fox studios and personally conducting the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra.
He has composed the original scores for Così Eravamo, Terre Rosse, The Knight, Il Segreto di Italia, and Oscar. For Warner Music, he wrote the soundtrack for Giorgione sulle Tracce del Genio. His work also encompasses RAI documentaries, theatrical musicals, chamber music, and symphonic compositions.
In 2020, Oscar (Amazon Prime), featuring his original score, closed the Los Angeles Italia Film Festival with a screening at the iconic Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. In 2024, he composed the score for 800 Giorni, presented at the Venice Film Festival and awarded multiple prizes in Italy and the United States.
In 2026, he returned to the Los Angeles Italia Film Festival with Il Criminologo, directed by Antonio Rojch and starring Barbara De Rossi. As an official member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL), he was invited to the SCL Oscars Reception honoring the Academy Award nominees for Best Original Score. The Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles included the film among the most prestigious events promoted by the Italian Cultural Institute.
During the celebrations dedicated to Maestro Ennio Morricone, Agostini joined the choir accompanying Il Volo in the special concert event at the Verona Arena. On March 25, 2022, he was awarded the Golden Lion of the International Grand Prix of Venice in recognition of his professional achievements.
